Making Tea

The gaiwan is a simple, versatile instrument that makes tea preparation effortless, yet remains extraordinarily elegant.

But mastery is not merely knowing how to use it. Beyond technique lies a deeper question: what tea are we choosing to give our precious time to?

Brew Guide

To bring out the Singapore Expression ( first harvested in Wuyishan, China, and refined by Fort Sanctuary in Singapore), follow Fort Sanctuary’s precise brewing guidelines.

Because high-grade leaves can easily yield multiple steepings, you can prepare the tea using either a Connoisseur’s Brew (for maximum intensity and flavor progression) or an  Aficionado’s/Standard Brew (for a larger teapot).

Story of Tea

Through generations of craftsmanship, human hands learn to shape what nature creates. With time, character deepens, complexity emerges, and the leaf reveals its soul.
